Fresh Halibut is back in season, and back on the menu at Jan’s!
On special this week is our Prosciutto wrapped Halibut, topped with a dollop of fig jam. 

Of course we’ll also be offering our Halibut and Chips as well, and it’s gluten free!

Come on down for Spring break and try some fresh fish!

We held our second year anniversary party last Sunday, and had customers draw your entry forms at random.

Here are the winners:

5th prize: A bottle of Oyster Bay Chardonnay went to Paula,
4th prize: A bottle of Mt. Boucherie Summit went to Ed,
3rd prize: A $25 gift certificate for Jan’s on the Beach restaurant for Wayne,
2nd prize: A wine tasting course at Everything Wines went to Katie
1st prize: A night for two at the Ocean Promenade Hotel and $100 in gift certificates at Jan’s on the Beach restaurant went to Donna!

Chaberton Estate Winery Wine Pairing DinnerThursday March 27th at 6:30 pm


We’re teaming up with Chaberton Estate Wines to put on a “Three Valley” wine pairing dinner.

Tickets are $55 per person, and reservations are required (604 531-5444).

This event is a five course dinner, paired with five great wines from Chaberton Estates:

Course 1:
Savory Crepes
Leeks, shaved asparagus, cheese, hollandaise
Paired with Valley White VQA

Course 2:
Prosciutto wrapped Halibut
with onion and fig jam
Paired with Reserve Chardonnay VQA

Course 3:
Slow roasted Pork Belly
sesame citrus marinade
crispy crackling
Paired with Valley Gamay VQA

Course 4:
Bison Cannelloni
Bison, riccota in a fresh pasta roll, creamy tomato sauce
Paired with Reserve Meritage VQA

Course 5:
Fresh fruit Napoleans
Paired with Chaberton Siegerrbe Dessert Wine VQA

If you haven’t had a chance to sample these wines, come and join us next Thursday night,

another Appy and Dessert Class for Wednesday March 12th from 6:30 pm to 8 pm

Jan Toasting Creme Brule

Tickets are $21 and include
Cooking demos with Jan and Danielle:

  • Guinness and onion soup with an Irish cheddar crouton
  • Irish sausage rolls
  • Chocolate potato cake with Baileys whipped cream

It also includes a 6 oz glass of wine or a pint of beer
Samples of the two appetizers and dessert
